So what have the Chilton family been up to this year?

Well, Jasmine has recently passed 3 GCSEs (an A in spanish, A in graphic design and A* in music) a year early and is still celebrating her success. We are so pleased that she has been able to get 3 GCSEs out of the way in year 10 before doing the rest of them and more in year 11.

But it's not just Jasmine who has been busy this year; Imogen has just gone into year 9 where she is starting some GCSEs early (for more information look on "Our Family" page) and has also moved into a brand new class. Imogen has also started Grade 5 guitar and is impressing us with her new pieces. I think that Chris's position as the best guitarist in the house is definately being put to the test by Imogen. Go Immy!!

Madeleine has just done her 11+ and we are planning to go out as a family to celebrate all her hard work. Madeleine is also looking around lots of schools in the area and will soon be choosing which one she will go to next year. It's  going to be a big step up for Madeleine leaving her current primary school, in Little Kingshill, and going into secondary school next year. But Madeleine is a very determined character, so she's definately tough enough!!

When Santa Claus got a drum kit for the kids last year, it was Rory who stepped up to the mark! He has recently taken up drumming lessons and has been delighting us all with his great skills- from drum fills to grooves, he is certainly enjoying his new instrument. Rory is also making great progress on his piano and is swiftly working his way through all the Grade 1 pieces and scales and should be taking it in no time.

Chris has just got back from several more trips around the globe- from Munich to the Ivory Coast, there aren't many places he hasn't been to. Last Monday, 22nd October, he also had the delight of bringing Jasmine with him to work for one day only because of a "work shadowing" day she was having at school. So Chris had to go to meetings etc as well as running around making sure Jasmine knew where she was going and didn't get lost. But it was worth it and Jasmine thoroughly enjoyed the day and learnt a lot about the world of work.
